Au tour du très utile VolumeDA de connaître une mise à jour, avec la version 1.0.3. Désormais, la fonction de réactivation automatique ("Resume") des sons résistera à un soft reset de votre machine.
Voilà, ce n'est pas une révolution, juste une (petite) correction de bogue.



Que dire de ce DA qui n'ait déjà été dit ? Qu'il rend service à tous ceux qui veulent désactiver/activer instantanément et très simplement tous les sons de leur PDA ? Qu'il permet, en outre, de régler l'intensité de ces différents sons ?
Comme bon nombre des DAs de ce fécond développeur, il ne reste qu'à se taire, c'est le cas de la dire..., et à l'installer !

Installez : Volumeda.prc et VolumeResume.prc
Si vous utilisez une version antérieure, ne pas installer la nouvelle par dessus mais supprimer l'ancienne avant.
Ne pas télécharger les versions comprenant « -j.prc » qui sont les versions japonaises !

Il existe effectivement un DA (Desktop Accessories) qui rend exactement ce service : VolumeDA 1.0.1
Comme tout DA, il nécessite un DA Launcher (par exemple DALauncher5).
Quand tu as installé VolumeDA, et sans quitter l'application en cours, tu peux :
- désactiver tous les sons de ton Palm
- désactiver sélectivement certains sons (Alarmes, Système, Jeux)
- les réactiver
La désactivation et la réactivation globale peut en outre se faire manuellement ou automatiquement après un délai que tu choisis (entre 30 secondes et 24 heures...). Au passage, il permet également de choisir le niveau sonore des différents sons du Palm.
En bref, c'est un soft extrèmement pratique pour qui veut particper à une réunion ou aller dans un lieu public tout en restant discret !
Je suis en train de réaliser un dossier sur les Desktop Accessories et VolumeDA en fera sans l'ombre d'un doute partie...
NB : Tout cela est en Freeware !

1. Overview

VolumeDA controls the sound volume of your PalmOS device. This
VolumeDA is a DA (Desk Accessory) program. So, to use this, the
launcher program that can launch a DA program, likes "DA Launcher", is
required. Please refer to Yamada-san's web (http://www.tt.rim.or.jp/~
tatsushi/) to know about "DA Launcher" and also refer to
Yamakado-san's web (http://member.nifty.ne.jp/yamakado/da/) to know
about the DA itself.

2. How to use

Install VolumeDA_e.prc to your Palm by HotSync. Also install
VolumeResume_e.prc if you would like to use the "resume" function.
Note, *-j.prc files are Japanese version, so if you do not have
Japanese environment on your Palm, do not install them.

Launch VolumeDA by the launcher program. The volume buttons appear on
the screen then you can tap any button to set the sound volume.Also,
the Up/Down hardware buttons are available to increase/decrease the
volume. You can choose the target volume on the popup menu.

The "Main Switch" works to turn on/off all of the Palm's three types
sound (system, alarm, game). At "Off" mode, all sound are supressed.
When you turn on the Main Switch, the last setting of "On" mode will
be come back so VolumeDA remembers the setting.

By choosing the resume popup, the resume function is activated. After
the resume time from the quit of VolumeDA, the Main Switch will be
turned on/off automatically with the message dialog. (VolumeResume.prc
is required.) With this function, for example, your Palm can be quiet
during your business meeting for 30 minutes, then it switches back
to verbose mode automatically.

Select [Menu] -> [Options...] to launch the option dialog. On the dialog,
the following options are available.

- Remember last resume time
- for turn-on
- for turn-off
- Hide resume-alert
- Extended resume selection

To quit it, tap [OK] button or tap the outside of VolumeDA's
window.

On PalmOS 1.0 or 2.0, two buttons, "On" and "Off" appear. On PalmOS
3.0 or later, four buttons "High", "Mid", "Low", "Off" appear.

3. Limitations

- When the Preference/General panel of the system prefs appear on the
screen, you can not set the volume by VolumeDA.
- VolumeDA is not tested with PalmOS 1.0 because the author does not
have the test environment.
- There are no warrantee nor guarantee for this program. You can use
this just at own risk.

4. Special Thanks

I referred the source files of Yamakado-san's daSecurity and
Yamada-san's (Hacker Dude-san) acDateClock to create this program.
Also, I am using Endo-san's function that can get the current
application name. Taro Abiru-san also provides the draggable-window
technology on Palm OS 3.5 for the public use. Thank you for them.

Bonne question.

En ce moment, je mets un peu d'ordre dans les différents sujets relatifs aux DA et j'avoue ne pas tester tous ces softs.
