Objet: Rép : [Mark/Space Support #466753]: Missing Sync for PalmOS
Hello Pete,
Thank you for your fast response ! I am glad to learn that your product is available inFrench !
We use the same charaters set -- not the same paper format (letter in North America VS A4 in Europe), not the same keyboard (QWERTY in North America VS AZERTY in France) -- but it is not the point.
I am more concerned about fields mapping between MS Outlook for MS Windows (French Canadian edition) and my Mac's applications...
Do I have to buy Missing Sync from the European Web sit (in Euros) to have it in French ? Is it one software with multiple languages that I can set in the Preferences panel ? I am right thinking that I can use one licence for my Palm Tungsten E to synch with my eMac, my iBook and my laptop PC ?
Saying yes to those questions means I will be one of your new customer soon
Thanks again for your help !
Patrice

Hi Patrice,
Missing Sync is available in French, German, Italian, Spanish and a few other languages as well. Is there a big difference between French and French Canadian?
Regards,
Pete

problem:
Hi,
It is not a problem ; I need crucial information. I understand that MS is available in English only, right ? So, what about using French Canadian versions of Mac OS X with iSync, Mac OS applications (iCal, AB, iLife, Mail), Palm Desktop and MS Entourage (with AB from MS Office) ? Would it works with French Canadian characters (letters) ? How about my own categories created on my PC using MS Outlook ; would it be a mess on my Mac ? Thanks !
steps to reproduce problem :
Use French Canadian versions of those applications
Try to create contact with French characters (letters) using MS Outlook on a PC
Synch with Palm Tungsten E (may I use HotSynch at this step ?)
Then Synch (with your product) with a Mac OS X (I use Panther) equiped Mac
Look what it looks in AB, iCal and MS Entourage...
